Lu Zhao BSc (Hons), Lic Ac, MBAcC.
Born and brought up in China, I have benefited from Traditional Chinese Medicine since I was a child. After living in the UK for 13 years, I decided to embark on my education to become an acupuncturist, so many others can also benefit from this ancient healing tool.
I trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, one of the most highly respected acupuncture colleges in the UK. The acupuncture degree course is validated by Kingston University and accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB).
I practice an integrated style combining the two schools of acupuncture; Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture. I also incorporate Moxibustion, Tuina, Cupping, and Gua Sha into my practice.
I am a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and as such am bound by strict Codes of Safe Practice, Professional Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures. These Codes ensure that patients are offered the highest standards of professional care during their acupuncture treatment.
In 2018, I started volunteering every Monday at the Fountain Centre at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. An independent charity for cancer patients, their families and carers providing support from the initial diagnosis until treatment finishes and beyond.
